I would like to see synths linked and compiled such that for example, New York could be viewed in its totality such that one could transition from street level to arial views and into shops and buildings. I also feel that more data capture such as address would help. Adding databases such as google street level would allow a global compilation for photos to begin and then a cronological database could be constructed to basically provide the photo history of the earth. Users should also be able to link there photos and synths with other users provided mutual agreement. This technology has more potential than that of any software to date that I an aware of. It also is somewhat scarry considering privicy and intelegence gathering capabilities this will evolve into.

The next phase should have temperal tools so that a synth of a garden could be updated and the seasons could be explored. The photo data should be filterable by date, location, time, etc so that synths can be historical as well as editible by the user in order to update content or correct errors. Photo's should be downloadable as well. Server farms could be used to compile all know photos avi. from an area such as New York to provide a massive rendering. Hyperlinks should be availible so that encyclopedia and other informational resources could be accessed about image subect matter like the ability to purchse an item see in a store from a street level view...

oh and the compiled massive 3d rendering could be sold to game makers for the ultimate in realistic 3d games and simulation. Military assets I'm sure already have much more advanced technology availible. The forensic reconstruction ability this would have with temperal tools would be amazing. You would be able to take accident footage from a variety of sources and basically construct a 3d video of events from multible sorces at once. Scaled to video from photo this would have amazing capabilities as well as being able to murge multisource servelience into a single live 3d feed. This it the first real step to creating Eagle Eye. I wouldn't be supprised to find out if this tech didn't inspire the author or the other way around.

Do you know the name of the programmer who allready realized your dream? Some people call him "GOD3 ;-))) every places, every seasons, inside and outside, and not only New-York.

I would allready be happy if I could easily synth my garden, or my bicycle; and they still have much work to do.

And please notice that Google is now cleaning the pictures to preserve privacy : faces, car-numbers ans others

awellsitis (Over 1 year ago)
Yeh, it wont be long till someone has a #%!@ body on here. other that report abuse button it doesn't seem like much will stand in the way. I'm sure they will have to preview before posting synths before long.

I think that medical anatomy lessons would benefit from this tech. You could do a disection without having to kill anything. Imagine all the cats and rats that could be saved in high schools and colleges. All you would have to do is add the ability to have inline text and commenting as well as hyper linking so this each image could have image maps and in pic descriptions added.
