Hiking season is upon us. If you have any hiking synths to share then post them here :-) Here is a synth of my wife and I at the top of Mount Si (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Si) in Washington state, http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=09c5bea3-6449-4233-b086-386c828f4210 We hiked up there again this weekend (forgot our camera) and the weather was fantastic, there was still a bit of snow left on the top but the trail is in good condition and the views were amazing. I would recommend getting there early, when we got back down to the carpark at around 11am it was completely full, this is definitely a popular trail.
Here's one from the other side of the country: http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=0be5516d-9631-4542-90d5-b1911329d97a
Nice pictures. My wife and I found a new favourite hike, it's called Mailbox Peak in WA, http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=c47f0472-f473-4dd4-97de-e2f1418a4ef5 Its about a 4000ft elevation in 2.5 miles, a real thigh buster, but well worth the effort with some really nice views of Rainier on clear days. It's used by local firemen in the area to train, at the top of the hike is an actual mailbox which was carried up by the firemen (I believe), you can see the contents of the mailbox in the synth.
Brandywine Meadows - a nice hike near Whistler BC: http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=89f993e5-fc2c-4fa5-b6ff-20d0b769a953
This is a seriously badass idea! There's one hike in particular I'm keen to try this on. Hoping to post it in the not too distant future. WOW what a cool concept! Tom
