Hi all,
I work on MSN UK and we were allowed exclusively into the brand new Big Brother house ahead of the launch of the next series.

Please feel free to take a look around!

You can see all of the synths using the link below:

Hi Matt! Glad to see that MSN is using Photosynth to highlight it's feature shows like Big Brother, but I have to say that I think this would have been much more effective if you had created Panoramas of the house instead of Photosynths.

IMHO Photosynth collections work best when the subject is an object that you are walking around to provide the 3D view of, like a sculpture or a car. To showcase a room, I believe users find panoramas much more palatable.

Check out this 500+ MegaPixel panorama I took at a Portland art gallery - http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=fc8d2dab-c2d6-40be-8558-4f878be80cc4
It's created with 36 images from my Canon 5D Mark II and stitched with MS ICE. Users can zoom in on the artwork to learn more about it or simply examine the detail without having to jump around between the various images.

You're likely good to go on this season, but if you do this on the next season's set, I hope you'll keep panoramas in mind.

Hi Thomas!
Thanks for the constructive feedback and excellent suggestions. I really liked your Portland art gallery, nice work.
Next time we will try and adapt our technique, but this time around the whole day proved to be a bit of a challenge! The house was full of other media when we were let in - in an ideal world we would have had the full run to ourselves! So it was a pretty stressful experience but we're very happy with the end results as is. Our users on MSN are too, we've clocked up almost 12,000 views so far which are great numbers for a Photosynth. We've never done something on this scale before.

Cheers,
Matt
