Heres a new good 360 of one of our halls, now with highlights! With the new synther I am able to make better synths, what kind of changes did you make?
@Schn828, I think you meant to post this: http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=08e3475d-3cd9-4f0a-b4fe-cd9b41be3af9
Oh shucks. Thank you!

Old dog, new tricks... I finally made a new synth with the new software. I even figured out how to add highlights! Lighthouse north of Kohala: http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=25cc9c89-3a49-4834-b021-00acb9f54405 In case anyone has ever wondered what's on top of a lighthouse, that's one of the highlights.
And another one: http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=880b06d2-c9bc-4955-bc0c-984d64826e0b This time it's of Green Sand Beach near Ka Lae at the south end of the Big Island of Hawai`i. The beach really is green, and it's really not from any kind of algae bloom. It's the sand itself, which is mostly composed of olivine crystals. Not the easiest place in the world to get to, but I'd rather keep it that way. This was done on day 4 of Worldwide KAP Week 2009, so all the 899 photos in the synth were taken with a camera suspended from a kite line. There's still six days left in WWKW 2009, so I hope to have more aerial synths to share in the not so distant future.
This looks really great. I love the fact that you managed to capture some people on the beach. It gives a wonderful ntion of the scale.

Another one for you, Darius: http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=c20a13b3-840e-48c7-858e-27ae79842bab Finally got one of Waimea from the air. It was done by hanging the camera from the kite line, setting it to spinning around the pan axis, and holding the shutter button down. It turned out pretty darned well! Plenty of highlights you should recognize in this one. Tom
