Brisbane is flooded this week with some 16,000 home and business with water damage and 100,000+ without power.
I ventured out to take some high quality shots of the river just after it peaked. I've uploaded 5 to Photosynth including this 2.43 Gigapixel panorama:

On the technical side the 2.43 Gigapixel used just over 12 GB RAM and about 50GB of temp drive space to process. It was taken with a Gigapan pro and a Canon 450d with a 200mm L. This "structured panorama" was made from 385 photos and processed in a few hours. The shots took about 15min to take.
