Did the leaves fall off? Something not working right? Let us know how we can improve the Photosynth experience.
For the last three or four days, each time I try to publish a larger structured panorama to Photosynth, I get this error message: Could not publish to Photosynth (Error code 0x8007000E at 40% progress) This occurs after I've waited, sometimes hours, for the publishing process to reach 40%. At that point, it ends. Any ideas? Your help in advance, is greatly appreciated. Thomas Hayden (GigaView)
Hi GigaView, could you look for log files under: %TEMP%/photosynther (should map to something like: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp\Photosynther ) and see if there is anything in there for the failed attemps, if so post back the log text to this forum. I will also see if we can spot anything in the server logs that might be causing this. Thanks Mark.
Will do, Mark. Thanks.
There is nothing there from the failed attempts, only from recent successful uploads. Thanks for looking into the servers for me.
Hi - just to verify, are you seeing this when inside the ICE application, or when the photosynth upload app is showing? Thanks Mark.
Hi - I am getting this error message from inside ICE when uploading to Photosynth. It is not getting to the point that the photosynth upload app shows up, only 40% there. I should also note again that I have been able to upload smaller 360 panos since this began, but this error is now occurring when trying to upload structured panoramas of about or over 1 gigapixel. Could size have something to do with it?
Thomas, how much hard drive space do you have on the drive which Windows is installed on (or which you have customized your TEMP environment variable to reside on)? I think that this discussion is related (although it is also unresolved): http://photosynth.net/discussion.aspx?cat=ceca0f30-0f7c-4468-811a-32b623ea8563&dis=d4f0c2cd-f40c-47e7-b281-40d2cc092963
After some backtracking, it appears that ICE is running out of RAM, if I'm understanding Matt Uyttendaele correctly. Thomas, are you using the 32bit or the 64bit version of ICE?
I'm using the 32bit version.
Hi Thomas, looks like Nathanael is most likely correct about the memory issue on 32bit, can you try the 64 bit version of ICE? and see if that resolves your problem: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/69699e5a-5c91-4b01-898c-ef012cbb07f7/default.aspx Thanks Mark.
