G'day, mate.

The Photosynth site has just been having a spot of trouble this week. Viewing in any particular browser on any particular operating system has nothing to do with it.

Rather, the source of the files is where the problem is. The servers that host the Photosynth data had a power outage. The data is still there for all synths that were already uploaded, but there may be a few quirks while they make sure everything gets back online safely.

Hi,
Unfortunately there was a power failure at a datacenter with some of the servers that host our data. This happened at the same time we were upgrading some of our database servers and caused several issues.
For more info see:
http://blogs.msdn.com/photosynth/archive/2010/04/14/power-failure.aspx

We are working as fast as possible to restore full functionality, but in the meantime some synths and content may be un-viewable.
Previously existing synths are not lost and should be back soon.
Unfortunately, synths that were actively uploading while the site was having issues yesterday may need to be synthed and uploaded again.

You should be able to upload and view new synths without any problems.

Thanks for your patience. We will update with more information when possible.

All,

Everything should be back to normal now. Please let me know if you're still seeing issues.

Tony
