Share tips for making and sharing amazing panoramas from your phone.
hi, usually photosynth saved a flat version of my panoramas to the camera roll / IOS photo-folder.
but since a while the panoramas dont show up in the camera roll. (yes, "auto-save to camera roll" is enabled).
i tried to do it manually by selecting "share" -> "camera roll" then hit "save" and got a success message "saved to camera roll...". but the image doesnt show up in my camera roll.
tried it with at least 20 different images.
im running IOS 6.0 on i iPod touch (4th gen).
any idea how to solve the problem?
Check FiveBig's solution here:
Apparently, iOS 6 will require you to change your system privacy settings for Photosynth's mobile panorama app.
Thanks for the reply, that fixed the problem.
Solution (quote from the other thread):
"Go to SETTINGS, PRIVACY, PHOTOS. Turn Photosynth on. "
What if the photosynth app is not showing up when I do the SETTINGS,PRIVACY,PHOTOS. I have all the other apps, but Photosynth does not show as an option. thank you!
@pilot2be, I'm just a user like you, but can you please report the exact version of iOS and Photosynth's app that you're using as well as the problem you're having to email@example.com?
If you or the Photosynth team come up with the solution, it would help anyone else who's having the same problem you are if you could post the answer here in this thread.
@Nathanael, I am using iOS 6.1.2the Photosynth app is the most recent download. I was able to figure it out. The app was not allowing me to save to my camera roll when I hit the share button. I checked the settings information like FiveBig stated and Photsynth was not an option. I ended up trying to create another pano and when it asked me the question is I wanted to share my photos with Photosynth I said yes and it worked. So, when prompted it only saves to camera roll if you have selected (inside the app) to allow sharing. Hope this makes sense. thanks!
That sounds right. Thanks for the reply and I'm glad you were able to save the flattened version to your camera roll.
You should be able to go back and do this with your earlier panorama as well, now.
