Topic: Refresh library doesn't recognize new Synths

Hi,

quite some time ago I made a synth using a camera an the PC, which I uploaded. This synth was synced with my Windows Phone 7.5 device (Samsung Focus). Perfect.

Every synth since then isn't recognized by the Photosynth app. They aren't downloaded to the device.

Why?

Greetings, Sebastian!

When I look at your Photosynth profile ( http://photosynth.net/userprofilepage.aspx?user=fortune2006 ), I only see one public upload: your Photosynth "Red Fort" ( http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=2ee096f0-0c63-490c-9894-5c3796626f4c )

Photosynth's current mobile apps for Windows Phone 7.5 and iOS 5 only create and view panoramas - not photosynths.

If you have uploaded any panoramas to your Photosynth account from your PC with Microsoft ICE ( http://bit.ly/msrice ), they should be viewable in your Photosynth mobile panorama app.

I can't remember whether unlisted panoramas appear in your mobile app's library or not. Perhaps, if you have some unlisted panoramas on your account, try making one of them public on the website and then try refreshing your mobile library again to see if it is visible to you.

The only other thing that I can think of is that perhaps you are accidentally using two separate Microsoft/Photosynth accounts.

Hi Nathanael,

I didn't know Photosynth on WP doesn't support PC-photosynths.
You're right, the only recognized PC-made picture is a panorama made with ICE.

But anyway, it's rather confusing that an app called Photosynth doesn't show you the synths you made with photosynth ;)

Thanks for the help, hopefully there will be support for synths in the for sure coming WP8-version.

"hopefully there will be support for synths in the for sure coming WP8-version."

Yes, I share that hope. I still don't understand why photosynth viewing wasn't attempted in the WP7 mobile app, when the unofficial iPhone app, iSynth was able to get at least half of the experience running on the original iPhone.
