Does anyone know how to insert credits into the photosynth. I intend to embed the video somewhere, so do anyone know how to do it? Much appreciated

If you are talking about an actual photosynth instead of a panorama, then you will want to tag your photos' 'Author' metadata with the appropriate name. In a photosynth, each photo can have a different author if that is appropriate. 

Similarly, if you will be making a panorama to upload with Microsoft ICE or Photoshop, then you will want to tag your photos with 'Author' metadata, but for a panorama, all photos must share the same name for the author. Add the name before you send the panorama from ICE to Photosynth. 

If you are uploading mobile panoramas from the Windows Phone or iPhone mobile apps, then your Photosynth username will automatically be added. 

In all cases, the author name or username will display in the lower left corner of Photosynth's web viewer.

Just to clarify, looking from your uploads, how do you actually put your name beside the copyright logo. I suppose it will still appears even if I embed it somewhere else. Not very how and where to tag the photos. Anyways, just wish to see the credits at the bottom instead of the author name appearing when I hover over it since they are being tagged.

Hi, Joseph, 

You'll need to tag your photos before they're uploaded to the website. 

You can do this in Windows Explorer (a.k.a. "My Computer" / "Computer"). 

In Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 when you highlight multiple photos, you should get a pane that opens below or to the right of your files that shows metadata and you can just click the 'Author' field there, fill in your name, and press [Enter] to apply the information. 

In Windows xp, you can highlight your photos, right click one of them, click 'Properties', click the 'Summary' tab, scroll down to find the 'Author' field, type in your name, and then click either [Apply] or [OK] to write your name into the photos' metadata. 

You can also see which names are applied to which photos by choosing 'Details' view in Windows Explorer/My Computer, right clicking on the category bar at the top, right clicking it, clicking 'More', and then check the checkbox for 'Authors'.

Another easy way to add your name to a photo's metadata is by using Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Great, I have successfully added the author names into it. You are really good. Any idea if I can increase the font size of the author name. Also, just to check if you know how to label certain items in a photosynth panorama. E.g if there is chair in a room, we can label it 'teacher's chair. Preferably when it shows when the mouse hovers it. Other suggestions are welcomed too :) Lastly, if you do notice that the toolbar(the play, pause, fullscreen buttons)in photosynth is not the same as when the video is embedded somewhere (not all the tools are available when it is embedded somewhere). Any idea on how can I do it to achieve the same result? Thanks :)

Sadly, the credit font size is not customizable, although that would make a good suggestion for the Photosynth team. (You could submit it here: http://photosynth.net/forum.aspx?cat=01b6f15f-42eb-49cb-a221-ed56615e1c47 ) 

The way that you label areas or items inside of a panorama is via the 'Highlights' feature. (See this short discussion for a crash course: http://photosynth.net/discussion.aspx?cat=ceca0f30-0f7c-4468-811a-32b623ea8563&dis=fb52406b-6623-45ec-ae64-eacee3bacc77 )

Several other people have requested that the highlight display when moused over, but that hasn't happened yet. For now, the highlights are displayed in a strip along the right hand side of the screen.

As to the full controls not showing on embeds, that's Photosynth's choice. Write them at photosynth@live.com.

If you leave the 'Author' tag blank, no name will be displayed. 

During times that the mouse cursor is hovering over Photosynth's viewer, the photo license that you have selected (perhaps 'Public Domain' is a good option for you, if you don't wish to retain any credit) will be shown, but whenever the mouse cursor is not hovering over the viewer, the license will auto-hide for clear viewing.

My plan is to not show any icon of the photo rights. I would just want the author text instead. Is there anyway to just retain the author names and nothing else? Meaning no icon of any photo rights will be shown at the bottom left. Thanks

Well... as to not displaying a photo license, icon... that isn't supported.
