Good afternoon folks. I have a problem stitching structured sphericals with lots of even/smooth blue or gray sky. For the series in question, I have no problem doing advanced stitching and manually realigning in something like PTGui, but ICE fails this task regularly. The few times I have had some success with ICE (commonly I use a 24mm at 15 shots/row, resulting in a folder with 61 images) it is only after running, rerunning, and re-re-re-re-running until it just happens to work. What is the trick when ICE refuses to stitch in structured mode for too flat or even color across a fer of the frames? I thought that "structured" should be "the" way to avoid this.
