&lt;div class="commentText"&gt;Canon&amp;#39;s PowerShot series is their point-and-shoot series, so it lacks a lot of the capabilities offered by DSLRs.  CHDK &amp;#40;Canon Hacking Development Kit&amp;#41; allows me to set the aperture, bracketing and other settings I normally can&amp;#39;t.  Here&amp;#39;s a link if you&amp;#39;re interested in reading more&amp;#58; &lt;a href='http&amp;#58;&amp;#47;&amp;#47;chdk.wikia.com&amp;#47;wiki&amp;#47;CHDK' target='_blank'&gt;http&amp;#58;&amp;#47;&amp;#47;chdk.wikia.com&amp;#47;wiki&amp;#47;CHDK&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The big advantage to using CHDK is that I can control the exposure, over-riding the camera&amp;#39;s automatic detection.  In addition, CHDK allows me to shoot in RAW instead of JPEG.&lt;/div&gt;
