Suffice to say, it is a synth of the west-end mammoth, Murray Antoinette. I know now that a large number of images cannot fully compensate for low resolution, but I'm hoping I can get away with it. I'm not expecting a fantastic point cloud here, but any kind of 3D would be just fine.

RESULT: It seems to have worked, for the most part -- there does seem to be pretty significant distortion in the point cloud, though."

Tony,

If I told you the details, it wouldn't be secret! Broadly though, what makes it special is:

1. How the (many) images were obtained and . . .
2. How the resulting synth will be used.

I've synthed him (he's male) before, so I thought that doing so again using my new camera and computer would be a good test of how much the new equipment will benefit my goal of mapping the bonebed. While I hope to get a good pointcloud from this synth, it isn't quite a finished product. The 'real' synths for the mapping project will be based on photos taken from an overhead crane. Still, this should be a good proof-of-concept."
