Interesting, although I would have done more in the way of horizontal pictures of the hydrant rather then of the area around it.

Actually.... ...I hit a Fire Engine. Of course, nothing happened to them (except for a tiny dent).

I actually did try something similar with VE3D, and tried to incorporate regular images as well. It works relatively well.
