"Yellow bellied marmots doing what marmots do, hanging out and keeping a watch out for hawks, martens, foxes. This big wood pile's a safe haven year round but it's more common to see whistle pigs up on talus slopes. A long tail weasel was here the next week but I think he was looking for chipmunks."

Right on; I love this synth. A great blend of wildlife shots as well as enough variation to get a decent point cloud of the logs.

"A novelty demo of a dense reconstruction from a single walkby mixed in with a few alternate views of the same seen. It's trivial to collect this type of series in less than a minute -- hold the shutter down on your DSLR and walk around a central object. Use 2MP resolution for the series then bump it up to full resolution for close-ups (like I did with the painting on the wall). Pretty precise but check out the lights in 3D, they appear both in front of Mark (true position) but also reflected behind the painting."

Denver International Airport - Main Terminal

"Day and night views of the expansive main terminal of Denver International Airport. Day shots were collected on the busy morning before Thanksgiving, night shots were during more normal traffic conditions. Only a handful of photos didn't fall into this very complete synth. Look closely and you'll sometimes see photos of the east terminal appear on the west side of the synth and vice versa. Symmetric environments can pose problems like this sometimes. Obama at Democratic National Convention - Mile High

"A full view of the 4th day (August 28) of the DNC at Mile High Stadium in Denver culminating in the acceptance speech and fireworks in the evening all captured in a large synth. The podium and main scoreboard are viewable as rotatable objects showing views from various perspectives and times of day. Photos from appearances by Sheryl Crow, Stevie Wonder, Al Gore, Joe Biden, Barney Smith, Barack Obama, and a cast of 1000s all appear in this synth. My thanks to the 50 or so ushers who let me take "just a few photos" from every gate of the upper decks."

I'm excited by this, it's the first news/event synth that I've seen done well. I'm hoping that we'll see good synths for every major news event in the near future, it's a great way to get a sense of what was really happening. The party should give you some closeups to put in this synth, that would be even cooler.
