"Magic light is a marvelous 5.11a on Morning Glory Wall, it has a 12b extension but due to its length has seen a few accident where the climber was lowered off the end of the rope. It is south facing to get on it early in the morning before it gets too hot."

Three Fingers

"This synth was taken from a small plane. The pictures in this synth were taken by myself and David Gedye. Three Fingers is a popular scramble in the western part of the North Cascades. If you zoom in on the left most “finger” you will notice a old fire lookout on the top."

Wow, too cool. I find it interesting that I've never been this facinated by photos of mountains (or stumps,trees, old buildings etc..). Don't get me wrong. I love photographs as a true art form, but Photosynth adds a new and wonderful element to photography. Thanks for the synth.

Upper Crystal Lake

"The gorgeous Crystal Lakes. The hike is a steady but worthwhile climb through old growth forest up to open alpine country with field of wild flowers and two delightful lakes, at which both elk and mountain goat make a home. The hike is about 3 miles and 2300 feet in elevation gain."

Snow Lake

"This trail is one of the most heavily used in the Northwest, and for good reason! It has beautiful scenery, and great views of the Snoqualmie Valley. Once you arrive at the top of the ridge, you hike down into a bowl, with Snow Lake, awaiting, as your reward. This is one of the largest lakes in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area. Bring a bathing suit for later in the summer. The hike is about 3.5 miles and is great for kids."

Patterson Mountain

"Patterson Mountain in Twisp Washington has a nice loop hike filled with wild flowers and views of Gardner Mountain, Robinson Mountain, Saw Tooth Ridge and Lake Patterson below. A short side trail takes you to the 3,511 foot summit. Twisp is a small town in Methow Valley on the foot hills of Washington’s States North Cascades."
