Nearly unprotected from the elements most of the damage at this site is being caused by the rock itself. With heavy spalling and mineral deposits leaching out a lot of the paintings here have been lost. There is one painting in particular that facinates visitors who see it. It is what looks like a tranformation of a person into his cat eared shaman. The figures transform from left to right in a series of six figure that gradually get taller and slimmer and develope the ears of a cat. Below that painting can be seen a long snake crawling and slithering its way back to the river. There are a number of Red Linear figures in a hunt."

<a10:updated>2010-10-05T17:41:39Z</a10:updated><a10:content type="text/html" src="http://photosynth.net/view/053409d5-2f0f-4f97-b81e-4863604c7de3" />

<a10:author><a10:name>WestTexasPhotographer</a10:name><a10:uri>http://photosynth.net/userprofilepage.aspx?user=WestTexasPhotographer</a10:uri></a10:author>
Cedar Springs Shelter

<img src="http://cdn1.ps1.photosynth.net/pano/c01001100-APwSYy40kiM/thumb.jpg" alt="Cedar Springs Shelter" title"Cedar Springs Shelter" /> by WestTexasPhotographer "Heavily and complexly painted in the Pecos River Style Cedar Springs is one of the jewels of the Devils River drainage. The pale buff color of the shelter walls contrasts amazingly with the paints applied to it some 4,000 plus years ago. Highly stylized figures with ornate and elaborate headress and bodies cover the walls of the shelter. Some of the figures are easily identified while others remain for now, a mystery. There is much to see in the shelter so take your time and browse through it slowly."

<a10:updated>2010-10-06T17:22:48Z</a10:updated><a10:content type="text/html" src="http://photosynth.net/view/663b54bc-d6c7-4cbd-9cf0-ad7903eeec6c" />

<a10:author><a10:name>Dougcl</a10:name><a10:uri>http://photosynth.net/userprofilepage.aspx?user=Dougcl</a10:uri></a10:author>
east bay muskoka aerial

<img src="http://cdn3.ps1.photosynth.net/synth/s01001300-AMcS0tWukCM/metadata.synth_files/thumb.jpg" alt="east bay muskoka aerial" title"east bay muskoka aerial" /> by Dougcl "Lake Muskoka, East Bay aerial shots, taken both in fall and mid summer.
