My snapshots are not worthy of the name photography next to her photos, but when thinking of which photo to use for the thumbnail her 'Delectable' came straight to mind.

Please enjoy the point cloud. You can reveal it by holding the Ctrl key or alternately by using the [P] key to toggle from photos plus points, to points only, photos only, and back again.

The title refers to the method of using the gravity of a planetary body such as a planet or moon to propel a spacecraft onward with it's intended trajectory. Imagine your camera as the satellite or spacecraft and any object in the scene as the planetary body whose gravity you will be taking advantage of (after a quick orbit) to propel yourself to the next object of interest. This seems to work extremely well and while it is not a very complex concept (take a circle of photos around everything you care about synthing and take photos on the way between them) very few people take advantage of it. Admittedly it does require quite a few more photos than the typical panorama type approach but the results are almost universally better in terms of fitting things into space correctly."

<a10:updated>2009-06-20T16:02:22Z</a10:updated><a10:content type="text/html" src="http://photosynth.net/view/5f415186-f783-43a2-bd5f-92aa3a9603df" />

<a10:author><a10:name>Fred_Oxford</a10:name><a10:uri>http://photosynth.net/userprofilepage.aspx?user=Fred_Oxford</a10:uri></a10:author>
Nine Dragon Screen Wall, Forbidden City, Beijing

<img src="http://cdn4.ps1.photosynth.net/synth/s01001400-AE4UQphXnSM/metadata.synth_files/thumb.jpg" alt="Nine Dragon Screen Wall, Forbidden City, Beijing" title"Nine Dragon Screen Wall, Forbidden City, Beijing" /> by Fred_Oxford "This huge glazed screen wall which faces the Huang Ji Men in the Forbidden City in Beijing, was constructed when Emperor Qianlong renovated the Ning Shou Gong (Palace of Peace and Longevity).

The detail on the relief sculpture makes this an interesting "2D" synth.

This sequence was captured using a Canon 5D Mk II, with a Canon EF 24-105mm USM L4 IS lens, during a visit to Beijing in May 2009."

<a10:updated>2009-06-17T16:36:06Z</a10:updated><a10:content type="text/html" src="http://photosynth.net/view/9686ec98-2c88-4b31-81fb-f29f5ebbab9c" />

<a10:author><a10:name>Fred_Oxford</a10:name><a10:uri>http://photosynth.net/userprofilepage.aspx?user=Fred_Oxford</a10:uri></a10:author>
Sunset over the Dead Sea

<img src="http://cdn3.ps1.photosynth.net/synth/s01001300-AOwTl1EVmSM/metadata.synth_files/thumb.jpg" alt="Sunset over the Dead Sea" title"Sunset over the Dead Sea" /> by Fred_Oxford "this worked out great considering that these photos were taken back in 2003.

best viewed by scrolling through the images using the "period/fullstop" or "." on your keyboard!"

<a10:updated>2009-01-24T00:20:00Z</a10:updated><a10:content type="text/html" src="http://photosynth.net/view/1a1de0e2-5809-4844-ac4e-d8a2802aa89b" />

<a10:author><a10:name>EdLee</a10:name><a10:uri>http://photosynth.net/userprofilepage.aspx?user=EdLee</a10:uri></a10:author>
Mika And Herself // 3D Magic Trick // Go Game

<img src="http://cdn2.ps1.photosynth.net/synth/s01001200-ANIGXQh1eCM/metadata.synth_files/thumb.jpg" alt="Mika And Herself // 3D Magic Trick // Go Game" title"Mika And Herself // 3D Magic Trick // Go Game" /> by EdLee "See the Point Cloud for the trick. :)

This idea hit me a while ago.

You can clone as much as you want, limited only by hardware... and the graciousness of the model :)

The board shows my favorite pro game, played by Fujisawa Shuko (藤澤秀行, White) and Nie Wei Ping (聶衛平, Black) on Nov 20, 1988.

It's a beautiful game because Nie sacrificed his 5 stones in the center for the huge lower right framework -- the level required for this superb judgement is amazing.

Fujisawa: June 14,1925 - May 8,2009."

<a10:updated>2009-04-10T22:28:04Z</a10:updated><a10:content type="text/html" src="http://photosynth.net/view/1453eec2-268e-45a4-bf73-26bfa2560367" />
