by Lassehybo "A sunny day at the end of October when the village people are out and sunday walking. The sky was cloudy at 12:00 but I saw it was clearing up. I rigged my gears and was ready when the sun broke through. One rule I've breaken in this pano is that it is a really bad composition, but I wanted to get a reference to other houses. Today (Monday) we have just got 10 cm snow. Let's see if we can keep it. The last snow disappeared one day after. The colour of oue house is called "falu red colour". It is made of cupper, iron ocher, water, wheat flour and linseed oil. It's the iron ocher that gives the colour and is matt and more dark blood like than in the sunlit picture. After 5-10 years you brush of the colour with a broom before repainting. The style of the house is called hälsinge style, and is most common in this county, Hälsingland. It's a log frame covered with standing boards that lock each other. In between is traditionaly saw dust but today it's rockwool. Windows with crossbars and white corners. Gable roof I think it's called with tiles wich originally were wooden."

by mattu "Shot from the Mt. Baker Ridge Viewpoint Park: http://mtbakerridgeviewpoint.com/ The park has a very nice metal platform cantilevered over the hillside. I noticed a lot of vibration in my camera viewfinder when I set up on the platform, it may be because the I-90 tunnel is directly beneath the platform. So, I ended up putting my tripod back on the sidewalk. Shot with a Gigapan, Canon 1ds MarkIII, Canon 300mm lens with a doubler (effective focal length 600mm). 108 pictures stitched and cropped in Microsoft ICE. Uploaded via the Photosynth Plugin for Photoshop."

by MagiView "The Alhambra is a palace and fortress complex located in Granada (Andalusia, Spain), on the top of the hill of the Assabica on the city's southeastern border. Construction started during the mid 10th century by the Berber ruler Badis ben Habus of the Kingdom of Granada in al-Andalus. Later, Islamic palaces were built for the last Muslim Emirs of the Nasrid dynasty. After the Reconquista by the Catholic kings in 1492, some portions were used by the Christian rulers. Notably, Charles V added a palace within the Nasrid fortifications in 1527. The Alhambra is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is a pano of 4 photos shot hand held, leaning on a wall, from the Mirador San Nicolas in the Albayzín district (see http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=098383b0-9157-403d-87d9-e51dac9cfdba). I used a Nikon D800 with a 28-300mm zoom at 100mm. It was stitched with ICE then reworked and uploaded with Photoshop.
