Its main attraction is the impressive polarship FRAM &#40;eng. &#34;Forward&#34;&#41; from 1892. It is said that the FRAM is the strongest wooden ship ever build. &#10; It was designed for Fridtjof Nansen&#39;s 1893 Arctic expedition and was supposed to freeze into the ice sheet and float with it over North Pole. Nansen&#39;s idea was to build a ship that could survive the pressure not by pure strenght but because it would be of shape designed to let the ice push the ship up, so it would &#34;float&#34; on top of the the ice. The ship had spent nearly 3 years baset in the Arctic ice.&#10; Next FRAM was used by Roald Amundsen in his southern polar expediton 1910-1912, the first to reach South Pole &#40; 14.December .1911, 100 years ago&#33;&#33;&#33; &#41;&#10;&#10;&#10;Technical information&#58; Canon 5D 12.9mpx, ISO 100, Canon 24-105L at 24mm, manual f&#61;11, 13s each shot, manual focus at 3.8m, tripod &#40;without QTVR pano head&#41;, 52 shots jpg, ICE stitcher"

<a10:updated>2011-12-17T10:09:46Z</a10:updated><a10:content type="text/html" src="http://photosynth.net/view/9f236cab-9f67-4de9-a687-3a5b458f7de7" />

<a10:author><a10:name>RobertzOslo</a10:name><a10:uri>http://photosynth.net/userprofilepage.aspx?user=RobertzOslo</a10:uri></a10:author>
FRAM MUSEUM (wooden polarship) Oslo, photosynth + panorama 360

<a href="http://photosynth.net/view/1bad1be5-1035-495c-a678-7ecef247cead"><img src="http://cdn2.ps1.photosynth.net/synth/s01001200-AFwVmScRgSQ/metadata.synth_files/thumb.jpg" alt="FRAM MUSEUM (wooden polarship) Oslo, photosynth + panorama 360" title"FRAM MUSEUM (wooden polarship) Oslo, photosynth + panorama 360" /></a> by <a href="http://photosynth.net/userprofilepage.aspx?user=RobertzOslo">RobertzOslo</a> "My related panorama 360 &#40; the same place, the same time&#41; see here&#58;&#10;http&#58;&#47;&#47;photosynth.net&#47;view.aspx&#63;cid&#61;9f236cab-9f67-4de9-a687-3a5b458f7de7&#38;m&#61;false&#38;i&#61;0&#58;0&#58;0&#38;z&#61;531.853378353109&#38;d&#61;2.0494623804662&#58;-2.53481359962706&#58;-2.364524114362&#38;p&#61;0&#58;0&#38;t&#61;False&#10;&#10;&#10;THE FRAM MUSEUM shows the history of great and famous norwegian polar explorers. &#10;&#10;More information&#58; &#10;Panorama 360 &#34;FRAM MUSEUM&#34; published by me 12&#47;17&#47;2011 &#40;link above&#41;"

<a10:updated>2011-12-20T07:32:53Z</a10:updated><a10:content type="text/html" src="http://photosynth.net/view/1bad1be5-1035-495c-a678-7ecef247cead" />

<a10:author><a10:name>Cardinal</a10:name><a10:uri>http://photosynth.net/userprofilepage.aspx?user=Cardinal</a10:uri></a10:author>
Hell Hath no Fury...
