It was designed by Edmond Galoppin and inaugurated by King Leopold II in 1904.

It usually gets covered with snow only a few days a year, generally cloudy ones. However in January 2013, it remained snowy for two weeks and there happened to be one clear and sunny morning where luckily, I was there to shoot it!

This pano is a stitch of 14 photos shot 30 minutes before sunrise from the 34th floor of the nearby Brusilia building in Brussels, using a Nikon D800 with a 50mm lens and a Ninja 5 pano head. It covers a span of about 146° horizontally. It was generated with ICE then saved as PSB.

See also my 4 Gigapixels high-resolution pano of the Josaphat Park shot in the afternoon at http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=e6f24dca-6178-4d55-94d1-cd623cd3770c"

<a10:updated>2013-01-29T13:39:14Z</a10:updated><a10:content type="text/html" src="http://photosynth.net/view/eaaf3212-82ef-4434-9e92-8326faaef00d" />

<a10:author><a10:name>mattu</a10:name><a10:uri>http://photosynth.net/userprofilepage.aspx?user=mattu</a10:uri></a10:author>
Silver King at Crystal Mountain

<img src="http://cdn2.ps1.photosynth.net/pano/c01001200-ADoWeBlhXiU/thumb.jpg" alt="Silver King at Crystal Mountain" title"Silver King at Crystal Mountain" /> by mattu "Beautiful day at Crystal Mountain, Washington. It is a result of 18 exposures, 30 seconds each, taken with a Canon T3i and 10-22mm lens, stitched together with Microsoft ICE.

Although I am happy that I could get that result in my first try, my plan is to do the same thing from a darker site, with a lot less light pollution."

<a10:updated>2011-09-29T23:00:07Z</a10:updated><a10:content type="text/html" src="http://photosynth.net/view/48198f2a-41be-4ad9-b1bb-5f267adcb829" />
