by mattu "This 10Gigapixel image is a merge of 659 22Mpixel images shot with Canon 1ds MarkIII. We modified a Meade telescope mount to automatically rotate the camera. We were parked at the corner of the glacier point balcony for about 90 minutes to capture this. The stitching was done via Microsoft ICE and took about 2 hours on an 8 core machine. You can clone as much as you want, limited only by hardware... and the graciousness of the model :) The board shows my favorite pro game, played by Fujisawa Shuko (藤澤秀行, White) and Nie Wei Ping (聶衛平, Black) on Nov 20, 1988. It's a beautiful game because Nie sacrificed his 5 stones in the center for the huge lower right framework -- the level required for this superb judgement is amazing.
