by K "The main tree in this synth stands on a hill above a cabin that my grandparents bought about 50 years ago. The platform is about 70 feet up. The climbing photos were taken over several days as various people climbed the tree. It's apparently tradition among tree climbers to name each tree, this one they called Sentinel."

Additional shots taken from the launch and landing zone. This is part of the Yosemite Extreme Panoramic Imaging Project http://www.xrez.com/case-studies/national-parks/yosemite-extreme-panoramic-imaging-project/ The 48 gigapixel project was created to study the geology and rockfall in Yosemite Valley. For a better view of the point cloud, use the direct 3d viewer and grab the halo when it comes up then hold down the control key to rotate. The "a" and "d" keys will allow you to dolly left and right."

San Marco and beyond

This is a combination of my original San Marco photos from our Tech Preview and David Gedye's photos of San Marco, the Doge's Palace and part of the Grand Canal from over a year later. It really turned out beautifully. It's a great example of how photos from multiple people can become 'greater than the sum of their parts'. At some point we'll be able to link synths together through their photos"
