We modified a Meade telescope mount to automatically rotate the camera. We were parked at the corner of the glacier point balcony for about 90 minutes to capture this. The stitching was done via Microsoft ICE and took about 2 hours on an 8 core machine.

A blog post describing this in some more detail is available here: http://hdview.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!1AD33AA162CE96C2!611.entry

A video describing the camera and stitching technology is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5UUrxL_2t0"

<a10:updated>2010-03-18T19:28:38Z</a10:updated><a10:content type="text/html" src="http://photosynth.net/view/1592a782-1ed6-457b-9023-31424db7ec34" />

<a10:author><a10:name>OrasulMemorabil</a10:name><a10:uri>http://photosynth.net/userprofilepage.aspx?user=OrasulMemorabil</a10:uri></a10:author>
Casa Sfatului 4

<img src="http://cdn3.ps1.photosynth.net/pano/c01001300-AB0Ud_ptmiM/thumb.jpg" alt="Casa Sfatului 4" title"Casa Sfatului 4" /> by OrasulMemorabil

<a10:updated>2010-11-10T11:47:57Z</a10:updated><a10:content type="text/html" src="http://photosynth.net/view/f26bf38e-8a11-496f-a501-e1ceee6b9739" />

<a10:author><a10:name>David</a10:name><a10:uri>http://photosynth.net/userprofilepage.aspx?user=David</a10:uri></a10:author>
Berlin Wall Section

<img src="http://cdn4.ps1.photosynth.net/synth/s01001400-AIYAMibncSM/metadata.synth_files/thumb.jpg" alt="Berlin Wall Section" title"Berlin Wall Section" /> by David "This is an original part of the Berlin Wall, given by Daimler - Benz AG to Bill Gates in 1996.
