Yosemite Glacier Point

by mattu "This 10Gigapixel image is a merge of 659 22Mpixel images shot with Canon 1ds MarkIII. We modified a Meade telescope mount to automatically rotate the camera. We were parked at the corner of the glacier point balcony for about 90 minutes to capture this. The stitching was done via Microsoft ICE and took about 2 hours on an 8 core machine. It is now part of the Microsoft Art Collection, and curenttly sits in the Microsoft Conference Center in Redmond, Washington. After a quick search, it didn't look like there were any Photosynth inspired pumpkins, so here goes. Happy Halloween!!! Since this synth has two sets of photos (candle lit and exterior lighting), as you spin the pumpkin using the halo, you can see the flicker of the candle inside the pumpkin.
