View from St Peter's Basilica over Rome

by PasiM "360 degree view over Vatican and Rome take from the dome of st Peter's Basilica. There is public access to the dome. I used the roof structures as guidance to get even spacing of photos. The photos were stitched with Image Composite Editor available as free download from Microsoft Research."

by mattu "This 10Gigapixel image is a merge of 659 22Mpixel images shot with Canon 1ds MarkIII. We modified a Meade telescope mount to automatically rotate the camera. We were parked at the corner of the glacier point balcony for about 90 minutes to capture this. The stitching was done via Microsoft ICE and took about 2 hours on an 8 core machine.
