by Lassehybo "A sunny day at the end of October when the village people are out and sunday walking. The sky was cloudy at 12:00 but I saw it was clearing up. I rigged my gears and was ready when the sun broke through. One rule I've breaken in this pano is that it is a really bad composition, but I wanted to get a reference to other houses. Today (Monday) we have just got 10 cm snow. Let's see if we can keep it. The last snow disappeared one day after. The colour of oue house is called "falu red colour". It is made of cupper, iron ocher, water, wheat flour and linseed oil. It's the iron ocher that gives the colour and is matt and more dark blood like than in the sunlit picture. After 5-10 years you brush of the colour with a broom before repainting. The style of the house is called hälsinge style, and is most common in this county, Hälsingland. It's a log frame covered with standing boards that lock each other. In between is traditionaly saw dust but today it's rockwool. Windows with crossbars and white corners. Gable roof I think it's called with tiles wich originally were wooden."

by Lassehybo "In the pale full moon the night to December 29th I took my gear out to make a 360 pano. The sky had already begun to be a little hazy. It went from comfortable -15C/5F in the evening to 0C/32F in the morning and in the writing moment it's like slush in the driveway. The whole pano is a little bit unfocused - I was freezing my fingers off at the time of shooting. I hope it's OK anyway. Camera settings: ISO1600, 1/4sek, F5,6, 38mm, Act. D-light extra high, WB ca 3030K. White balance is a compromise between moon light and lamp light. Not so precise. The settings are mainly adjusted to make things on the ground correct exposed. After ten attempts of stitching in ICE with different parameters and each try failing, I excluded the upper row and the lower row and it went well. The outcome has the same amount of pixels as the discarded attempts."

Brussels Day and Night, North to South - DRAFT

by MagiView "A 210° view of Brussels, from North to South-South West, shot from the top floor of the tallest residential building in Belgium - the Brusilia Residence in Schaerbeek (Brussels). I started shooting it at 3:30pm and finished at 6:30pm on Dec 9 2011. Since the sun sets at 4:30pm, this pano shows daylight at the bottom and progressively night lights toward the horizon. The weather was nice when I started, but progressively some haze appeared and the wind picked up. This pano captures over 100 churches, 5 town halls, 20 watertowers, and another 50 remarquable buildings, in most of the 19 Brussels communes, as well as in over 50 towns and villages in Flanders, including Antwerp, Mechelen, Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Waver, Heist-Op-Den-Berg, and Lier. About 50 of these landmarks are over 16 km away (10 miles). Many however are hard to see, because of the night, of the haze building up and of the wind blurring some shots. This is a stitch of 1071 photos shot using a Nikon D7000 with a 200mm f2.8 lens and a x1.4 teleconverter, mounted on a Gigapan Epic Pro motorized head. This is the first time I stitch more than a thousand photos, so I worked hard for 3 weeks to manage to process it... And I'm not really satisfied with the result: a new version should be published in the coming weeks!"
