by mattu "This 10Gigapixel image is a merge of 659 22Mpixel images shot with Canon 1ds MarkIII. We modified a Meade telescope mount to automatically rotate the camera. We were parked at the corner of the glacier point balcony for about 90 minutes to capture this. The stitching was done via Microsoft ICE and took about 2 hours on an 8 core machine. Ta Prohm is the modern name of a temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries and originally called Rajavihara. Located approximately one kilometer east of Angkor Thom and on the southern edge of the East Baray near Tonle Bati, it was founded by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university. The tree is over 300 years old. Be sure to hit "P" for point cloud while viewing on the Direct3D viewer!"

I documented several sites in detail in anticipation of the release of this tremendous product. One thing I REALLY like about this Synth is the pointcloud. It's amazing. Navigate to the front of Cliff Palace and then zoom in and out until you get the donut, then hold down CTRL and spin around. Also note, this Synth goes 360 degrees. Some other synths from this trip that worked quite well are: Canyon de Chelly - Spider Rock Chaco Culture - Pueblo Bonito (646 images!) To find these Synths, just click on my user name above. "
