by mattu "This is a 507 image stitch done in Microsoft ICE. It was shot with a Canon 1ds MarkIII and a custom pan/tilt head. If anyone out there knows who was climbing El Cap. on that day I'd love to caption the highlights with names. This image looks tilted because this pano is all above the horizon and the Photosynth viewer does a perspective tilt to center the image on the screen. Yosemite Glacier Point

by mattu "This 10Gigapixel image is a merge of 659 22Mpixel images shot with Canon 1ds MarkIII. We modified a Meade telescope mount to automatically rotate the camera. We were parked at the corner of the glacier point balcony for about 90 minutes to capture this. The stitching was done via Microsoft ICE and took about 2 hours on an 8 core machine.
