Until then, enjoy! "F" full screen "P" point cloud...give it time to load!

use the "View Synth in Direct3D Viewer" for the best full screen point cloud experience!

There is a Martello located at Ferry Reach in St George's Parish. It was completed in the 1820s.

Martello towers (or simply Martellos) are small defensive forts built in several countries of the British Empire during the 19th century, from the time of the Napoleonic Wars onwards.

They stand up to 40 feet (12m) high (with two floors) and typically had a garrison of one officer and 15-25 men. Their round structure and thick walls of solid masonry made them resistant to cannon fire, while their height made them an ideal platform for a single heavy artillery piece, mounted on the flat roof and able to traverse a 360° arc. A few Martello towers were surrounded by a moat for extra defence. They were used throughout the 19th century, but became obsolete with the introduction of powerful rifled artillery. Many have survived to the present day, often preserved as historic monuments."

My snapshots are not worthy of the name photography next to her photos, but when thinking of which photo to use for the thumbnail her 'Delectable' came straight to mind.

Please enjoy the point cloud. You can reveal it by holding the Ctrl key or alternately by using the [P] key to toggle from photos plus points, to points only, photos only, and back again.

The title refers to the method of using the gravity of a planetary body such as a planet or moon to propel a spacecraft onward with it's intended trajectory. Imagine your camera as the satellite or spacecraft and any object in the scene as the planetary body whose gravity you will be taking advantage of (after a quick orbit) to propel yourself to the next object of interest. This seems to work extremely well and while it is not a very complex concept (take a circle of photos around everything you care about synthing and take photos on the way between them) very few people take advantage of it. Admittedly it does require quite a few more photos than the typical panorama type approach but the results are almost universally better in terms of fitting things into space correctly."

Beautifully surreal. I had to think of something else to write other than "wow!" and the words do fit. You did a great job with the transitions. Before viewing, I wondered what Orbital Propulsion had to do with flowers on the side of a street. Excellent choice for a title. I didn't realize how detailed the point cloud could be. I see now after viewing this, that I have to slow down my "orbital propulsion" a bit.

I actually am currently struggling to synth the same number of images together with another synth (Deep Wood House: South Lawn) because they overlap so much and each image has many features. The only real success I have had as far as getting the entire length of the shoot represented is to split the entire sequence in half by selecting only the odd numbered photos and the even numbered photos. All other attempts to synth even half of that set have crashed and burned for me so far.

The problem with using every other photo is that there are some parts which snap apart because you are missing crucial transitional shots, so I'm planning on coming back to that synth later today - still using mostly just the odd numbered images (the more synthy of the two halves) but adding a few evens in weak points where the point cloud fractured before.
