It is housed in the former Naval Bakery at Vittoriosa. The building was designed by the British architect and engineer William Scamp and was erected, between 1842 and 1845, over the site of the old covered slipways of the Knights of St.John. The Bakery supplied the Navy with its daily bread requirements. In the post war period it served, amongst other things, as the head quarters of the Admiralty Constabulary. The Bakery remained part of the naval establishment up to the closure of the British base in 1979."<div class="commentBlock font12">

Also very prominent are the monument just in front of the Parish Church and the side of the Maritime Museum, which formerly served as a Naval Bakery during British Rule in Malta. Clearly visible are the pontoons of the Yacht Marina with the Senglea parish church in the distance. Situated in the middle of Grand Harbour, Citta&#8217; Vittoriosa also houses Fort St Angelo at its northernmost tip, which overlooked the entirety of the Maltese Islands&#8217; most important harbour at the time."<div class="commentBlock font12">
