"(Big synth: may take a few minutes to load.) John Fisher oversaw the cutting of this 16 ton of Carrara marble in Italy. The marble arrived at Elings Park in June 2004 and John carved this in 90 days. The sculpture depicts youth ascending a mountain with the help of others. The marble represents addiction and the individuals are in stages of freeing themselves. "Summit for Danny" was created in memory of Danny Bryant who died in 1995 of a drug overdose. You captured some wonderful light here. The contrast between the bright sunlit trees and roofs and the dark smoke behind them is truly something special.

Thanks Ken, the reason is I planned to photosynth a large area together. So I'm interested in how far I can push the technology before I encounter issues.

"See the Point Cloud for the trick. :) This idea hit me a while ago. You can clone as much as you want, limited only by hardware... and the graciousness of the model :) The board shows my favorite pro game, played by Fujisawa Shuko (藤澤秀行, White) and Nie Wei Ping (聶衛平, Black) on Nov 20, 1988. It's a beautiful game because Nie sacrificed his 5 stones in the center for the huge lower right framework -- the level required for this superb judgement is amazing. Fujisawa: June 14,1925 - May 8,2009."

For what it's worth, Ed, I'm glad you went with the full resolution photos on this one. When Photosynth introduces dense reconstruction this synth will shine all the more.

If you know someone who has a computer with obscene amounts of RAM, you should try the original photos in Yasutaka Furukawa's PMVS2 by using Henri Astre's PhotosynthToolkit. If you don't have the originals anymore, you can download original resolution copies of the photos with Henri's PhotosynthTileDownloader.

Thank you, all. Hi Darius, thank you for adding the Highlights feature. That's a very good idea: mark the key frames and not the in-betweeners. :) I look forward to you guys improving Silverlight's Point Cloud performance, quality, and halos to match or even exceed the Direct3D viewer's. This Courthouse is still work in progress... I need 64-bit Windows, lots more RAM, much faster CPU, and a much faster connection for uploads! :(
