"This synth includes all 58,261 names of the people who were either killed in action, or missing in action from the Vietnam war. The names are roughly arranged by year, starting with the first death in 1959 through 1975. To find a specific name, you can find the panel number by using the search tool at http://thewall-usa.com. Since I had to wait for people to pass by in order to photograph each panel, these photos span approximately 2 hours (in 100+ degree heat). The synth appears to be many duplicates of the same images, but they're not. Since the wall is very repetitive, and I wasn't able to get many photos from further back on the grass, the synth appears to be a "house of mirrors". I apologize for my reflection in just about every photo Due to the wall's smooth, black, mirror-like finish, my reflection was unavoidable. Please feel free to pass this link on so that family and friends of these brave souls can remember them again."

Statue of Liberty - Deck 12

"Obviously, this is the Statue of Liberty. This series of photos was taken from Deck 12 of the Carnival Glory sailing out of the port of Manhattan on June 18th. The weather was hot and hazy, with the normal smoggy foggy cloud around the city. With some color correction, I was able to get the pictures to clear up a lot, but still not really sharp. These were shot with my Nikon D300s, with the 18-200mm VR lens with most of these shots being fully extended. Sorry about the spots on the lens... I thought I had cleaned it sufficiently before heading out that morning. GO YOU ES OF AY!!!!"
