Aha. I see I should have explored your other synths before giving you advise on your newest. This is quite beautifully done.

For this one it was difficult to take the entire face of the building, due to the presence of the (world biggest?) X-Mas market. For the name, I'll see it, but I don't think Picasa tags are understood by PhotoSynth (and I only use Picasa to index and organise my pics). Thanks for the wishes, Happy New Year too!

Nathanael (Over 1 year ago)
Greetings, Canard, This is a fantastic structure. Is it possible for you to take photos all the way around the building, perhaps with a tripod? If so, please study AlFaku's Italian synths such as this one: http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=8cc4c46c-9e07-498f-855a-13fa295bdf92 and navigate it using the fullstop [ . ] and comma [ , ] keys. You will see that their shooting method is very simple but very effective. Happy New Year to you and those who love you and who you love. P.S. You might consider adding your name or at least your screen name to your photos' 'Author' or 'Photographer' metadata before uploading them to Photosynth. That way your name of choice will appear next to the license symbol on each photo. I know that you are a Picasa user, but I cannot find a way to easily edit the photographer's name inside of it. It is quite simple to accomplish in Windows Live Photo Gallery or Microsoft Pro Photo Tools 2, if you care to try them out.

Incredible, this Synth seems to have been classified as "top favorite", and now I've more than 1000 views :) Thanks for this, and the comments! It's the first time I can see the Pantheon "from the top", it's interesting!

This is great! I just looked at this in overhead view and it's amazing to see the tombs' locations!

A second (good) comment from a PhotoSynth-team member, thanks :) When I'll have a good wireless again, I will go to your "icy-mountains" synths, they seem great.

Thanks for the comment and the information. A very cool new way to discover my synths and other ones. Thanks for the answer, and for all your job! Go on!!!

A screensaver would be cool. Especially if it didn't just cycle through the images, but fly around like clicking the highlights does... Not sure we'll have that built any time soon, but I'll pass the suggestion along.

Canard19 (Over 1 year ago)
Thanks! I only regret that the "matching" with pictures taken from the floor didn't succeed :( Hey, it's the second time I have a comment from someone working for PhotoSynth, maybe it gives me the right to request a new feature! What about a screensaver (with choice of featured synths, favorited ones, by place, etc.)

dariusmonsef (Over 1 year ago)
Wonderful. Great unique angle.

Thanks! The 90% of the pictures has been taken from... two only places, in fact the tow roofs of the towers. A few pictures has been taken from the "foot" of the towers and the 1st floor.

Scott (Over 1 year ago)
It's great you were able to take these photos from so many different points of view. The point cloud from the top down seems to be a quite accurate street-level representation.

The pictures are from many years ago, I didn't thought of PhotoSynth, so these photos were not "optimized" :) This mechanical elephant was built by a group of street animations "Royal de Luxe": he made also mechanical geants: see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_de_Luxe

dltq (Over 1 year ago)
Is this a mechanical elephant? Nice. Looking at the synth I see that we really have to plan our synths more - no picture can stand by its own, 90 degrees or more from other angle. Keep at it :)
