The hi-light tool was designed for this kind of synth!!

That's COOL! I really like the transitions between the highlights. It's exactly as if you were standing in front of it and saying, "Ooooh, what's THAT?!" Well worth the effort, in my estimation.

Awesome. 190 photos and great example of what's possible with a little bit of effort! :)

Definately. I can zoom in at the two cats in the basket and see a cat face as big as my computer screen, and it is not at all unsharp of pixelated... and in reality, the cat is only as tall as my thumb!

Fred_Oxford (Over 1 year ago)
I agree K - and the same goes for buildings e.g. cathedrals - being able to zoom into the top of the spire or some other detail makes photosynth really great.

hey Scott - I experienced the same - went inside and it was a humid day in the 30's. I took some photos inside...but not worth adding..somehow it felt tacky going inside Daibutsu...

Scott (Over 1 year ago)
I remember visiting Kamakura a couple years ago. It was about 32 degrees C, and I was sweating my #%!@ off inside that buddha. :-)

Hi happy cathedrals' synthers! So I synthed my simple cathedral, pretty little from Dijon (Burgundy) http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=7a5ef951-d15b-4d83-839c-5013b01e4726 ; I hope you like it. As you can see it was on a very sunny day, and I feared about shadows ot overlighted places, but Photosynth is quite good for stitching. I could take pictures on avery 4 sides by stepping into private gardens or yards; so one side was in the shadow and colours are not so warm, but it doesn't matter so much. I agree there are no statues here, or sun would have been a problem; I agree with EdLee you better use a good stalbilizer (all cameras have one now) or a tripod and try to take your breath; and don't focus too much about the point cloud ;-)))

Fred_Oxford (Over 1 year ago)
I agree, too much light is also a problem...sorry no chance of getting into the buildings around the cathedral...I would have to go back to Cologne, and try to bribe my way into a few office buildings and hotels!

Lake Louise is incredible - problem is I took these photos before Photosynth was invented!! Maybe I get the chance to go back some time soon! Yes that is the Chateau Lake Louise Hotel.

That's a pretty amazing view... with you had more photos of it. And is that a lodge/hotel on the right?

I will try to put the geo tag on - it is in a Buddhist temple complex in Kyoto, north of Osaka in Japan

It's beautiful. Where is it? Would you mind adding a geotag so we can find it on a map?
