Lassehybo

Lassehybo was a mail adress I had ten years ago when mail was for fun. Now the name is useful again.
1971 Sweden stopped using town and city as a legal term. Today we talk about municipality.
Ljusdal though is what we called a small town, not a real town. An older swedish expression is "köping". We go down to köpingen we say when we go to the centre.
Hybo is a small village in direct contact, four miles from the centre.
As a hobby- and snapshot photographer my equipment is a Nikon D90, Nikon 18-105mm up to 105mm, Sigma APO DG 70-300 for longer lengths, a recently purchased Dörr A4 tripod and a video head of an unknown german maker. A videohead wich is 30 years old, wich gives away a little about my vintage.

Thanks ankorot! I used a regular tripod with an old videohead atached as the tripod was without head from the beginning. You can se it in my photosynth "My equipment for pano photographing". When making a 360 spherical I must remove the home made scales and use the scales on the videohead.

Great job! Seams between shots are invisible. Did you use regular tripod (not automated one)?

Thank You flip1228! It inspires me if I can be an inspiration. Note that the whitbalance is close to lightbulb - the moon is blue. And if you want to shoot a stary sky this setting will surely not make the stars visible. Then more of everything is needed.

Great work. Thanks for braving the cold to get this shot. I've been meaning to try and do a night time photosynth also and this one gave me some inspiration (and some great tips on good settings) Thanks again!

Thank you Oodelay! I believe even though Hybo/Ljusdal is 15 degrees more north than Québec (ca 1500km) we have the same climate thanks to the Gulf Stream. We are blessed that way.

Very Nice! Looks like Quebec!

Thank you for the nice words, HarasPlessis It's wonderful how the simplest pano can bring the most joy. I just walked 200 meters from our house and shot what I see everyday. Nevertheless I'm thorough when rigging my equipment

Super house, Lassehybo. And outstanding pano - congratulations! Favorited...

I guess that you wonder how my panoramas can be taken with a cell phone. All my panos are taken with my SLR camera Nikon D90 as seen in my photosynth "My equipment for pano photographing". As it it's nine images facing down ICE crops away the tripod legs except for the paws near the floor. It's not on purpose.

Thanx UP. Panorama. Yes, that would be something else! I estimate possible size: seven times eleven feet. Can your mailbox take it?

Very cool, good job with the focus stacking. Planning on printing printing life sized post cards?

Thank you, MagiView. I considered this an insignificant pano with just water, wood and sky. It's really a booster getting such strong words from a pro.

Thank you for the nice words. Now maybe I dare to brake my rule about not to make a pano with the sun shining in the camera but on my back. Your comment also made me realise that the welcome sign is in english and not in swedish. Homeblindness I think it's called. Thanks again.

Great photo! The detail is amazing! I especially love how the reflection of the house is in focus in the driveway puddle near the bottom of the photo. You can read the welcome sign on the door! Keep breaking rules, this is a wonderful shot!

It was a light breeze in a global perspective. First she took Norway, then Sweden but then she changed her name to Tapani and drew to Finland. I hope he did not sing "We'll bring the house down" in a literal way.

Great work! I bet it was a storm. And I'm a Slade fan too.

Thank you! That's warming in the winter. Patience, thoroughness and methodical are the words I believe if one don't have a robotic camera mount type.

"Near Our House" is absolutely gorgeous! It is my favorite! I gotta learn how to do this!
