Best Rock Center synth yet. Well done! Pity it wasn't in time for the Holiday Lights competition, -- could well have wone it :-)

Glorious!

MET360 (Over 1 year ago)
Thanks TonyErnst. This is just another test for now. I will add all the highlights in the final synth. Late nights (Greek & Green all sound the same)

TonyErnst (Over 1 year ago)
Wow. Simply amazing. Please add some highlights so that I know what Im looking at. Also, I think you have a typo in the title (should be "Greek" not "Green").

Hey David Thanks for the feedback and help. Here is synth redone. http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=ad5c7958-6ff8-4af6-af1f-af4eaf00f246

This is looking good, except that with the photos off by default, and your starting image on a tiny coordinate system, the point cloud is almost absent. If you want a create point cloud experience, I'd make this image the starting one. http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=18b6acdf-3a8f-4afd-a621-350a0f125ee3&m=false&i=0:0:72&c=0.371937040805967:-1.68835619799369:-0.784270248860433&z=277.158677102836&d=-1.72017560796043:0.812546206225794:0.607648960076295&p=0:0&t=False

18mm on a D90 (same camera I shoot with!) should be plenty Just take a few steps back if you can, and shoot "coverage" shots in landscape mode.

MET360 (Over 1 year ago)
I am using a Nikon D90 with a 18mm lens. I'm looking to get a wide angle lens as soon as i raise enough money *student working part-time*. Once I have that lens, i'll be redoing this 100%.

David-Photosynth-Team (Over 1 year ago)
if you have a chance to reshoot, I'd recommend 1) some wide angle (landscape mode) shots. This will stabilize the reconstruction, and 2) Rotate your portrait mode photos before synthing. We try to automatically detect the correct orientation, but different camera manufacturers use different EXIF conventions for this... Can I ask what camera you shot it with?
