Great pano, Mattu. Impressive!

Thanks Thomas. Totally agree with you. These images work really well at ski areas. Still so much potential to do cool stuff here - e.g. overlay run names, tag yourself, overlay videos, ...

Gorgeous GigaPixel, MattU! A great example of what ski resorts and other large recreation properties can and should do.

Thanks everyone. @Larry_R ICE took about 2 hours to stitch, Photoshop then takes 1/2 hour to load. @RELE this was 300mm @AngelesCrest the Gigapan shoots in columns. This was 1200 images shot in RAW (no HDR). I did tweak the white point and exposure for a lot of them before stitching because the camera was underexposing the snow, making a lot of the inputs grayish.

2 Hours shooting! Wow. Q: Does it shoot in rows or columns? It seems columns would be better for changing light conditions. Q: Was this HDR or single shot? Very nice, thanks!

Hello Jason, it all depends on the pixel density you are looking for. I can get 2-3 Giga-pixel images out of this one, though I usually shoot around 400-500mp. Take a look at these home-made sites, and see if you are at that skill level: http://wiki.panotools.org/Heads#Self_made If not, let me know how much you want to spend, and I'll try to point you in the right direction.

Yikes, that's an expensive pano-head. Can you recommend any lower-priced ones? Cool shots.

I don't think it's out of control it's just nature doing what it does after a fire.

Nice to see a good synth of how out of control that plant is. Thanks!
