Hey void23 -- if you add a "highlight" to the bottom of the dig, you can get Photosynth to do all the work of pulling people from the outside to the bottom. Should only take 1 minute!
i can't believe you connected the outside with the cave. well done!
madeeds, the tunnel's slope may not be accurate because photosynth does not have enough infomation. For example:
http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=c8063fc8-145b-4b42-936f-58ca7724b26d
If you rotate the Courthouse so you are looking down at the staircase and the 2nd floor hallway from the top, you'll see they don't align with the outer walls of the building and the tunnel. I don't have the building's blueprint, but I am guessing in reality, the staircase and the hallway align perfectly with the building walls. The reason they don't in the Point Cloud is that the synther does not have enough information, same as with the tunnel here.
So for example, if there is one photo that simultaneously captures a Courthouse exterior wall AND the interior staircase; or, for this synth, one photo that simultaneously captures the Adam Stephen House's roof AND the bottom of the tunnel, then the tunnel's slope may be more accurate.
Fascinating story! I wonder why the synther thinks the tunnel slopes down steeper than it seems to in the pictures.
fantastic tunnel!!
