Understood. The starlight and time issue is certainly a difficulty to see other explanations to given our current understanding of the properties of light, etc.. As you said, it's only one example.

I suppose it is a bit of an eclectic set. But I'm guessing that you're commenting specifically on the books about creation and evolution. Yes, there was a time when I was a die-hard young-earth creationist and I have the books to prove it. While I don't want to spark a religious debate here, I will say that I still believe in a creator God, but I can no longer accept a young earth theory due an increasing body of scientific evidence (ex. seeing light from billions of light-years away). And yes, the Photosynth team is quite diverse.

Your bookshelf's content interests me greatly. Perhaps the Photosynth team is more diverse than I would have guessed.
