Brilliant! We've seen a few of these creative images over in gigapan.org, but this is the first I've seen on Photosynth. Thanks for sharing!

David-Photosynth-Team (Over 1 year ago)
I agree. Most creative pano yet!

Very creative, it's fun looking at all the different scenes you added :-) Mark.

Thanks, Natahanael. The building is the municipality of Tel Aviv. I took a few dozens pictures of this building and created a panorama in ICE. I took the resulting Tif file into Photoshop and inserted several scenes into some of the windows. Then I cut the new pictures into several overlapping sections, and fed them to ICE creating a new panorama, which I uploaded to Photosynth.

I've never seen anything quite like this. Good work, Ari.

Yes, I am aware of this, I just wondered what the synther will come up with. The other limitation of ICE, apart from rotation view, is not allowing cropped views. Is there a plan to remove this limitation in a future version?

mattu (Over 1 year ago)
I think that you probably know this, but technically ICE will only "work" when you stand in one spot and rotate. In this case you moved quite a bit from shot to shot - so ICE couldn't work out what to do. The synth worked out nicely though.

aridolan (Over 1 year ago)
The synth is here, labeled Courtyard 2. The pano is a failure when considered objectively and formally, but I like it very much as it is, so I decided to let it stay.

mattu (Over 1 year ago)
not sure what happened here. but, it seems like this should be a synth instead of a pano.

Thanks, I added a geoatag. Silwan is a Palestinian village, just outside the wall of the old city of Jerusalem. It is adjacent to the City of David, wher ancient Jerusalem was located.

TonyErnst (Over 1 year ago)
Wow, so much detail to zoom in on. Where is this though? Could you please add a geotag?

mattu (Over 1 year ago)
Nice pano! Lot's of good detail. While exploring the highlights - it would be great if their was a bit of text description of what we were looking at. A geotag would also be great.

Thanks This scene is particularly suitable for using the new velocity cursor, which enables you to fly like a bird inside the room, up, down, and in all directions.

Marvelous subject matter you chose here.

No, you are wrong. Today it is a very modern and highly ecological site for dealing with garbage. It is planned to become a large, clean national park while still functioning as a garbage transfer station. However, garbage is garbage, and when you look under the hood, as I did, what you see is garbage.

Thanks. I saw your synth and played with the point cloud. A Remarkable point cloud indeed.

Very nice! Reminds me of this one I did in Australia: http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=3b598807-8a73-4622-bc1f-86f55e037ca8

Nice test! I've always wondered how this would work. =) Some of those shots (such as the fifth highlight) needed a little love from the [+] key.

This is a large cement plant near the city of Ramla in Israel, although to me it seems somewhat like a rocket launching site.

Very interesting! Can you please give us a few detailsa about what this is?

This is a ruined house near the city of Kfar-Saba in Israel. I geo-tagged and geo-aligned it. I am going to explore it more as a Photosynth theme. Currently it is also displayed in Villa 3, showing its interior.

Nathanael (Over 1 year ago)
Fascinating subject and marvelous synth technique! Where is this located? Would you mind geo-tagging and geo-aligning this to the map?
