I'm interested in many forms of artistic expression. Writing, drawing, painting, software, photography.. I love how photosynth creates a new medium to experience photographs in an immersive manner. I'd like to see synths of people and groups and social settings that capture the feel of being somewhere in a new way. I'd like to see synths that have a temporal nature, capturing expressions and feelings and actions at events as they take place.

Hi. Would you please mind removing the 2nd paragraph of the description. It is copyrighted content from the Bermuda4u website.

Thankyou EdLee, must be a combination of things, I shoot the pictures in different resolutions (multishot mode drops the resolution) highest being 3648 x 2056. Photosynth then resizes the pictures. Your Court House project is amazing as well!

Very nice. I was able to synth 1,395 photos @100% in 4 hours 10 minutes with lesser hardware: Dell Inspiron 1525, Intel Core 2 Duo T5800, 2GHz, 3G RAM, 32-bit Vista. What were the resolutions of your photos? Mine were VGA 640x480. See my on-going project of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse.

I didn't think it was possible to synth this many photos. This is really cool!

I have to say this is a very exciting synth - I have spent around 20 minutes "walking" through the church and still have not seen all the corners and details. It is really incredible what Photosynth has done with this.

I created an updated and improved version. http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=d14d7048-3c56-4118-84bc-91d0e2760096 Twice the photos, and much better color balancing, etc.

This is a really neat space to synth. You could try adding more highlights to make it easier to navigate.

This is not a real boat, just a large-scale model. Right?

This is great. I think this would be even better if highlights were added. Very nice.

The colors of the point cloud really are equally amazing.

I know, I need to resynth anyway so maybe I'll get that in there. In the meantime you can see this very stove in use on the Olympic Coast here: http://flickr.com/photos/kreppart/2512693283/

I want to see fire even if it doesn't synth well.

K (Over 1 year ago)
it's actually designed to use solid fuel tablets (esbit). i don't think you could use anything else effectively although i tried to make an alcohol burner using a tea light holder. as for the navigation, something is definitely wrong. it could have gotten confused by the logos on the can but more likely it's because i was taking photos from directly overhead. the algorithms that determine which way is up can get confused when you're pointing the camera close to straight up or straight down. i bet if i resynth without the straight down images it'll come out better.

arnielarson (Over 1 year ago)
This synth is disorienting to navigate, it feels like I am dangling upside down from a rope trying to focus on the ground, continuously changing perspective.

arnielarson (Over 1 year ago)
That is very cool... do you just burn wood and paper and anything else available?
