Congratulations. Really well done. Never seen 14 photos give such a good point cloud!

No, not yet. Will delete this synth shortly and add more images. Can't get outside as it's the ground foor roof, but I'm staying in a different room each week for at least 3 month so should get a decent batch of images from inside and outside :)

Yeah I should have taken more pictures... They were taken from a viewing tower thing, the queues weren't so bad and the music was good so we decided to get something to eat and wait it out. You can see a pic of it here- http://blog.q4music.com/glastonbury/2007/06/the_ribbon_tower.html Hopefully with enough time I'll get enough pictures from other people to fill in the gaps. There's some on Flickr and I'm pretty sure that my friend has a few, watch this space!

It's a shame about the fracture in the point cloud. Interesting set of pics, though! What were you climbing on to get the high shots?

Hi BP, (Already in the Bug section): I don't know the math or algorithms behind the synther, so PS people can tell about this theory: it IS a problem of not having enough photos. For example: http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=c8063fc8-145b-4b42-936f-58ca7724b26d If you rotate the building so you are looking down at the staircase and the 2nd floor hallway from the top, you'll see they don't align with the outer walls of the building and the tunnel. I don't have the building's blueprint, but I am guessing in reality, the staircase and the hallway align perfectly with the building walls. The reason they don't in the Point Cloud is that the synther does not have enough information. In the Carter House synth, imagine if the steps are NOT fixed but are actually MOVABLE in real life. Then it's obvious how you can achieve the ghost effect. It's like the ghost points from anything that moves. If he gets more photos to cover the steps, I think the ghosts will go away.
