The fact that there isn't even a weak connection between the object and the building suggests that there's not enough features matching. One of my colleagues suggests that there might be a scale issue. In general, Photosynth finds it hard to match features when they are more than twice as large in one of the images. Adding a few more images with the object a little smaller might help. more...

In some ways mine is a bit easier, since the two models *should* be overlapping. I "fixed up" three such images for that synth, and it still doesn't work quite as well as I'd like. Since you only have one image with overlap, the best thing that photosynth can do is allow you to transition from this image to either one group or the other. more...
