Love Crater Lake, and love this synth. Am I right that you originally shot it as a panorama, well before the invention of Photosynth?

David, yes, I took the photos with a pano stitch in mind. :-) If I had thought about Photosynth at the time (this was just a month ago, and I had already used the MS internal beta of Photosynth), I would've taken many more pictures, so the synth could show a full 360 deg view.

What we need now is for some intrepid synther to drive the loop road, and take a pano from every mile or two around the lake. I would be absolutely fantastic.

you`re pictures are trully amazing. I`m interested in one thing, how you make you`re pictures "100% synthy". I make two tests, but in one I have 0% and another is 23%.

@ Scooper: One thing that will help your synth projects is that there has to be /at least/ a 50% average overlap of /each/ image. If there isn't, you will end up with a not-so-synthy collection.

Looks like a beautiful place, and one of the best examples of how Photosynth can "bring you" to a place ive seen on my short visit so far. I just want to jump into that water!
