Description

this synth was a test to try ideas for synthing a hall. i walked down the hall taking a photo about every 5 feet and made 360 degree panoramas at each end. all shots were taken at 12mm (18mm equiv on 35mm camera).

overall i'm not too happy with the result. i think there may have been some reconstruction errors due to the repeating patterns on the elevator doors, the floor and the carpet.

I remember from when I came by that Microsoft was having offices renovated on the fourth floor as well. Do you know if those were those ever finished or used?

Are there any Microsoft personnel left in Smith Tower any more or has everyone moved to Live Labs East, etc.? Where does your team work now; from the main Redmond campus or does Bing Maps operate out of an auxiliary location?

I don't think there are any MS offices in the Smith Tower any longer. It was fun while it lasted! Nowadays the whole Photosynth team sits in Bellevue.
