Description
The Florence Baptistry or Battistero di San Giovanni (Baptistery of St. John) is an octagonal basilica built between 1059 and 1128 in the Florentine Romanesque style.
The interior's main feature is the high, vaulted ceiling with breathtaking mosaics of biblical scenes in the primitive style, dating from 1225.
