Description

Lincoln Memorial, Washington, D.C.
Anchoring the west end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C., this memorial to the 16th President of the United States was opened to the public in 1922. While many famous events have taken place on the site, perhaps the best known is Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.
