Maker's Mark Distillery, Inc.
3350 Burks Spring Rd.
Loretto, KY 40037
Founded by Bill Samuels SR. in October 1953 when he buys Burk’s Spring Distillery in Happy Hollow, KY. The first bottles were marketed in the fall of 1959. The first years production was 250 cases. In 1968 Lesslie Samuels began work on the visitors center. In 1973 Bill Samuels JR. became President. June 1980 added to the list of National Historic Landmarks.
