Swing the point cloud until the rings are side-on...incredible, fascinating - the hollow in the wall can be seen clearly.Usually dark objects don't form good point clouds, but this one is a excellent. Great work!

How big is the ring? Could be 3 inches or 3 feet... Interesting to look at the rings from the other side of the point cloud too.

Nice, DaHedd. If you can control the lighting, or, if you can wait for an overcast or cloudy but very bright day, you can get rid of the harsh shadow and get the rings rested smoothly and softly against the background. :)

EdLee your shooting tip is right on but I kind of link the way the shadow looks in the points.

I like it that the pointcloud reveals an indentation in the wall. Something you really can't see in 2D photo's.
