Nice photos Jenny! We're staying here late Aug/early Sep. Would appreciate any comments/helpful hints that you have. Hope you had a nice time. This will be our first trip to Turkey, Kalkan and Villa Panaroma.

Thank you, I think you will like the Villa. Sorry I didn't reply before but I have not visited the photosynth site recently. I am back in the UK now but return to Kalkan Sept 1st. so may bump into you or if you have a query Iwill try to help or perhaps "know a man that can" Mary & Terry can give you my number.
Info. Taxi's are espensive in Kalkan, if you are fit enough to walk, downhill will be OK but uphill if it is hot is a bit hard though not impossible if you are a fitness fanatic. However the Villa is so lovely you may well be content to spend a lot of time there.
I am told that there are deals to be had if you book them in the UK which include transfer & car hire, certainly cost less than in Kankan, unless of course M & T have already given you the info.

Thanks for replying Jenny. Yes, we've decided to hire a car for 2 weeks which we'll pick up at Dalaman. Got a good deal over the internet though we did have to pre-pay to get the best deal. Should give us extra flexibility particularly in the late August heat! M & T did offer to sort out transfers for us but we decided that if we pick up the car from the airport we can eliminate the need and cost of transfers. We have picked up valuable info from the EnjoyKalkan forum so feel we have more of an idea what to expect! Am thinking of booking a boat for the day, do you have any info on this?
Many thanks
Justin

HAZAL Capt. Mehmet contact via Ilban restaurant (I think) Food Lots of it and very very good. It is the most expensive boat
Moby Dick is also excellent and Kemal, s friend of mine is Ex Turkish Navy and the safety aspect is well taken care of, food also good.
There are others also Anil, very populat but you need to book well in advance
Some of the smaller boats, which I often use are also good and provide good food,
Enjoy yourself.

Thanks Jenny. Definitely going to charter a boat for the day. I guess if we go down to the harbour early in the holiday we should be able able to charter one for later on.
